‘I have been practicing capoeira since 2000. I am also a journalist, personal trainer and adult education teacher (PTTLS). I’m British but fluent in Brazilian Portuguese, an essential skill for for all non-Brazilian capoeira teachers.

‘I started practicing capoeira in 2000 in Sydney, Australia, then in London in 2002 before I started teaching in Cornwall in 2004.

‘When I’m not playing capoeira, you’ll find me clinging to the side of a cliff in Cornwall, enjoying my hobby of trad rock climbing; playing guitar or spending time with my family.
